Public Green Heritage: Policies and Actions

Managing public green spaces means enhancing an asset of profound social, ecological, and economic value. In the face of the climate crisis, it is urgent to define real strategies to guarantee resilient and livable cities. Born from the synergy between Fiere di Parma and the Italian Association of Public Gardens Directors and Technicians, this study day promotes direct dialogue between public administrations to outline the future prospects of the sector, in line with Article 9 of the Constitution. Guided by internationally renowned agronomist Giovanni Morelli, who will integrate the unprecedented “point of view of plants” into the analysis, the speakers will address the key themes of the sector: climate impact, economic resources, Green Plans, service outsourcing, and training. Case histories and best practices on the agenda: Milan, Turin, Parma, Siena, Cesenatico, and the Province of Mantua.
