Marketing ornamental plants with maximum phytosanitary safety – New tools for pest management

8 October, 2026
14:30 - 16:30

Sala Quercia – PAD.8

The Central Phytosanitary Service has recently approved the Guidelines for the preparation of Risk Management Plans related to harmful organisms for ornamental plants.

This means that Regional Phytosanitary Services and production companies can finally work together using official, shared documentation. This represents the culmination of a lengthy and complex technical and institutional effort led by ANVE over the years. With this important phase concluded, nursery companies can now draft and implement their own Management Plans. The objective of this meeting is to explain these voluntary self-control procedures and provide practical tools to industry professionals—straight from the individuals who helped draft them—enabling companies to establish a structured relationship with the competent authorities and ensure full phytosanitary compliance.
