One of the most innovative elements of the new General Urban Plan of the city of Parma (PUG_PR050) is the centrality of nature as urban infrastructure.
Expansive Nature is the Plan’s scenario that redesigns the relationship between the city and its natural territory; it proposes the expansion of green areas, ecological corridors and wetlands into the urban fabric, transforming nature from a residual element into an active infrastructure of the city and contributing to quality of life, biodiversity and environmental safety.
