ORTICOLARIO 2025

The 15th edition of Orticolario will be held from October 2 to 5, 2025, at Villa Erba on Lake Como. For four days, the historic residence’s centuries-old park and exhibition center will host over 250 carefully selected Italian and international exhibitors, all chosen to promote a deeper awareness of the landscape. Rare, unusual, and collectible plants, handcrafted objects, and original creations will celebrate nature as art — a precious form of know-how in an exclusive setting.

In addition, themed gardens, selected through the international Creative Spaces competition, and site-specific installations inspired by the annual theme will form the backdrop to a rich program of cultural events featuring industry experts, landscape designers, agronomists, and visionaries.

Entitled “Eden,” the fifteenth edition of Orticolario will explore ancestral wonder and present the many facets of a primordial and wild place that goes beyond the common idea of perfection to celebrate the overwhelming and alluring power of nature. It will be an invitation to move away from contemporary anthropocentrism, from ideas of ownership, dominance, and exploitation, to embrace the unspoiled and discover beauty beyond human imagination — in its original form.

A garden as a glorious place, “DZONOT,” will be created at the heart of the central pavilion, designed by Jonathan Arnaboldi and Matteo Pellicanò, with the support of Fondazione Banca Popolare di Milano and the contribution of STIHL. New for 2025: With AREA*, a new series of spaces will come to life, designed to celebrate culture, nature, and artisanal mastery. The central corridors of the two wings of the exhibition pavilion will be animated by experiences that merge aesthetics, content, and material.

Also new is the Orticolario Market, introduced to highlight organic food products and their processing: a welcoming and evocative area animated by carefully selected producers — including both well-loved names and new excellence to be discovered. Within thematic rooms dedicated to food, visitors will be able to explore refined, high-quality food and wine offerings, in an ideal dialogue between land, culture, and taste.
